Hounslow Safaris Logo FISHING Hounslow Safaris Logo

Another exciting side of Hounslow safaris is our fishing charters. We can offer a wide variety of challenging and once in a life time experiences. Both Andrew and Robert are keen anglers and Andrew has provincial colors for rock and surf angling.

The types of fishing to enjoy are mainly rock fishing, beach fishing and deep sea charters.

As by the photos one can see that we target a huge variety of fish and sharks. The shark fishing is more of the sport side of fishing as it is almost always a challenge to land one of the big sharks , especially on the tackle that we use , it is not uncommon for us to land sharks in excess of 200 lb on 30 lb breaking strain nylon.

Time of the year plays a very important role in what fish or shark we are going to fish for. The time from October to the end of April is when we catch most of our sharks and these months also prove very productive for catching some fish for the table!

The winter months are better for fishing for edible fish and putting to sea in a chartered boat as our weather conditions in winter are normally good and the wind and sea are quite cooperative.

We use a variety of bait to entice the type fish we are trying to catch to bite. We almost always target a specific species and locality, tide, wind, time of day, bait and the condition of the sea will determine how successful we are.

So if you have some down time and would like a change, let us put a couple of options forward while you are here, and we will see where all the elements take us.
